I don't know anything about hydration. I only know that if I ain't thinking about it I drink a lot more beer than I should.
so:
In my kegerator I keep one Cornie keg of beer or hard cider, and one of water with a bit of lemon. Turn the CO2 pressure up for a few days and that lemon water is roughly equivalent to store bought stuff, such as La Croix®.

I drink our own well water and lots of it, I fill a glass with ice cubes and top it off with water. I do the same thing except with whiskey. When the ice cubes melt, then I am getting my water. It is almost like a chaser.
I have nothing clever to put here.

Vinegar in water is good for muscle cramps too. How long does it take to kick in? I get terrible leg cramps at night. Drink some pickle juice Or a big teaspoon of yellow mustard...for leg cramps

Pickle juice is a good source to avoid cramps.
Only ACV , apple cider vinegar , the real thing, is used in the drink mix. Distilled white vinegar is useless. Like white bread with all the good things taken out.
In a gallon jar, squeeze six lemon or limes, or the juice already squeezed will suffice.
I don't generally measure. Just put in as much sweetener as wanted, or as little. 1 teaspoon good salt, or thereabouts. Three or so tablespoons ACV. Mix well.
Keep chilled and have as much as you want. It is very good especially on hot days.
Thanks for that!

And of course pickle juice is just a little salt and vinegar.

There are some flavors in the stores but the website has more. It isn’t cheap. But they’re really good. I tried those CirKul bottles with flavor cartridges but they taste too artificial. I definitely feel better when I am hydrated Why don't you simply drink real, genuine, thirst quenching water instead of that manufactured, bottled, phony liquid that is NOT water ? w

I just use spring water w /apple cider vinegar or lemon. Won't buy water. That combo right there is among the most perfect electrolyte hydrating drinks. Water alone, on a hot day, too much, will drain the body's electrolyte content . leaving one feeling sick and weak. Just a few added ingredients into some nice water makes the perfect hydrating drink that also adds the needed electrolytes that are vital to the whole body's health. A little sweetener, such as maple syrup, honey, agave nectar, or even a little real cane sugar tops off that drink in all needed ingredients. I get my dose of Agave nectar,,out of a Tequila bottle.

Switchel is the name of a water, ACV, honey mix that was delivered to the guys cutting hay with scythes way back to cut thirst better than water alone. As a bonus, though they probably didn't know then, it also provides electrolytes to combat the heavy sweating they must of had.
I bring a water, ACV mix on the boat to cut thirst when crabbing in the summer heat. Our neighbor was German and his wife made Switchel when we helped them hay. We ate like kings when she cooked.
