I saw it. It was okay. Good not great. It goes to great lengths to not be political, such as not explaining how this civil war started, not explaining the politics of the various sides, having states with obviously opposite politics (texas and california) on the same side, etc. But it follows the story of a war photographer, not the story of the war itself. And there are some pretty far-fetched parts, such as the photographers standing 10 feet away while some dude hiding behind a concrete column gets blasted. It was entertaining, but if you're looking for something that resembles current politics, it fails there.

I intended on going to see it until I realized it was really nothing more than an apologetic for the media. It seems they're portrayed as the hero of the story.

I intended on going to see it until I realized it was really nothing more than an apologetic for the media. It seems they're portrayed as the hero of the story. Yes, I agree with this. I went and saw it the first day. Media journalists were portrayed as good guys. An educated multi racial lot, brave salt of the earth type folks just trying to get the word out. The head journalist had made herself famous as the one who reported on 'The Antifa Massacres'. lol THE GOOD GUYS: The combined rebel forces of Texas and California are the good guys. They are kind, take care of wounded and refugees and are well supplied and led. Also, individual good guy fighters may have rainbow painted fingernails. These type of people are not only harmless but helpful to the journalists. Refugee camps are compassionately run by minorities. THE BAD GUYS: The incumbent political group that has usurped the White House for the last three election cycles are the bad guys. They are mean spirited and led by a tyrannical president. This president hates journalists. Individual bad guys are made of rural Anglo Saxon types. They may wear Hawaiian shirts like the Bugaloo Boys wear and laugh while killing wounded rebel soldiers. These are mean nasty people who will pull you (or a journalist) out of a car, kill you, then throw you in a trench a' la My Lai Massacre. Woke types can have a vicarious moment of homicidal reverie watching the rebel troops storm the White House and shoot the president in his chair after he begs for his life. It's not that hard to figure out who's aligned with who IMO. | | |

It was funded by the guy that was in charge before the last guy. I won't watch it.You're the second person to say that Obama funded it here on Tman (that I've seen), but I've still not seen any evidence of that. Do you have any info on that? As far as I can tell, it's just an unfounded rumor.

sounds like another i wont pay to see. gets old watching a movie that trys to influence how i think. just watched run away jury. entertaining but from begaining to end it paints the gun manufactures as evil men. i dont need to see a movie where the lying media is portrayed as heroic

Also funded "Leave the World Behind"[/quote] I know he funded that one. That was another goofy movie. It was okay, except for the part about animals going crazy, and the ending was a dud. But there's no information that I find about Obama funding the Civil War movie except for dudes here that claim it and then don't show any evidence, links or whatever, to support it. It seems to just benothing more than a rumor.

Most movies today have a politics message that's not good to watch.
Probably why movie studio's are losing 100's of million's of dollars, hopefully they all go broke!
