At the risk of waking the Oklahoma bottom feeder, I've made it no secret that I'm not a yard nazi. It's my yard I paid for it and I'll keep or not keep as I see fit.

Now I've got a millennial white male driving a older 4runner, yuppie wannabe, that feels the need to yell and cuss at me everytime he happens to pass when I'm out in the yard.

There was a time that would earn him a few holes in his vehicle, about 45 caliber size, but that world is long gone.

I've pretty much got him narrowed down to where he sleeps around the corner but that ain't happening either.

I just think it odd to get so enraged over what a total stranger does.

But I'm not above sitting out in the yard with a few empty barley pop bottles.

Why and what is he yelling at you?

Clean up your yard is the edited version. But the delivery is more concerning. I can blow off a polite busybody but this guy has been doing this for months and seems to be getting more angry, and colorful, each time.

I yelled at somebody the other day driving by here at a high rate of speed. Got little kids in this neighborhood. No idea who he was. I yelled slow down. He just gave me a funny look.

Now that's more understandable.

I’d just smile and wave, be as kind as you can be and it’ll mess with his head.

We coop on a lot of things if either one of us goes out of town the other takes care of the others critters be it a day or weeks it gets done. I spray weeds he clears my driveway in the winter. The other neighbor is a waitress with a special needs son we both look after her when needed weeds, lawn and clearing trees.

Sounds like a fellow that could enjoyment from skunk essence. Either at hus home or when driving by your skunk smelling yard. Have any bent nails to get rid of at fellows drive way?

The thought did cross my mind, I won't lie. But if it escalates it'll be on my turf not his. Figure it'll be easier to explain his body in my yard than his body in his, lol.

I’ve dealt with people like this and the nicer you are to them the madder they get and they finally get so mentally messed up they just leave you alone.

But it’s not beyond reproach, his actions. My brother and his dumb friends used to smear dog poop under peoples handle of the car when they were teens so they got fingernails full of it when they opened the car.

for living in town I live in about as close as it gets to redneck paradise

a quick look around almost every yard has dogs

almost every yard has a boat parked in it

almost every yard has a truck or two or 3

campers and trailers

gardens

kids riding by on bikes with fishing poles and back packs

other kids running around in yards

guys working on cars and trucks

garages with big screen tvs and guys drinking beer watching the game sitting in a lawn chair door open.

most everyone does keep their lawns nocked down.

I have never raised my voice at any of my neighbors, but have had them removed from my land when they became disrespectful to my wife when one of their renters ran off the road and took out 8 of my fence post and hit a tree. All because my wife asked the renter how fast she was speeding. Speed limit is 30 mph she jumped a ditch went up a 4' hill took out the fence hit the tree splitting it spinning the SUV 180 and it stopped 12' past where the fence was inside my pasture. Neighbor saw her renter and thought she would get involved when she drove buy. She mouthed off to my wife in front of the sheriff deputies. My wife told her she wouldn't speak to her like that in our property the deputy said this is your land my wife said yes the deputy told the neighbor to get back on the road.

My neighbors are very nice to me. When I was in the hospital our next door neighbor made us a couple meals and made a bunch of homemade cookies. Maybe they like our well kept lawn.

My neighbor drove across my wet yard/underground sprinklers once. I didn't do much yelling, more swinging. I don't reckon that will happen again.

Meth addict next door kept yelling everytime shelly was outside, called the law claimed she was putting pine cones in her yard and even dumber stuff, too much to mention. Cops had talked to us, talked to her and her husband so had about figured out she was nuts. Finally we pressed charge's against her, they put a warrant out for her arrest, didn't pick her up that day picked her up early the next morning which just happened to be Thanksgiving day, lol. So she sat in jail till the next week when everything opened back up. Went to court with her, she got fined, put on probation, court cost and all that, haven't heard a peep out of her since.

No, I have never screamed or yelled at my neighbors. Pretty much gave up on that kind of communication in my late 20’s.

I would ignore him. Not look at him, but be aware. It’s a rewarding feeling to not give knuckleheads the satisfaction they are after.

One of my neighbors is a jerk. I just avoid him as much as possible. The others are great. I just try to make sure that the one in every crowd isn't me.

Nah, live in a nice little neighborhood. Know all neighbors 3 doors down each side of me and across the street as well. The neighbor a couple doors down has a house across the street that they rent out. Came home one night from coyote hunting and noticed those folks out and about. In the dark it looked like they was hanging someone from an oak in the yard.
I hadn’t met them yet, but hollered across the road that their business is their business, but that it would be less obvious if they hung whoever they’re hanging in the back yard. They started laughing and shined a light…they were decorating for Halloween and wanted the neighborhood kids to wake up and see it vs watching them do it. They turned out to be good people as well.
The neighbor next door and across the street take turns bringing me dinner when the wife is outa town or when they try new recipes. One has a husband confined to a wheelchair and the others is fairly older than me and I help out with “manly” stuff when needed.
What’s funny is my wife sets the yard mowing in motion when she mows. 2 days after we mow ours everyone else had theirs mowed. If a neighbor is out of town and she mows, she’ll ride on over and mow theirs. They do us the same if we’re out of town.
Neighbor across the the street went on an extended vacation and asked us to watch out for the place. What he forgot to mention was his brother got a NEW truck and would be stopping by. Well I see a strange truck pull in and park behind the house. I told the wife, not today! I walked up loaded for bear and he about had a heart attack! It’s been a joke with them and the neighbors for a while now. Get that crazy guy across the street to watch your house cause he ain’t letting nothing happen.
The only yelling we do is normal talk from one house to the other. Don’t think I’d want to live anywhere else.

When he is away some day, clean all of the stuff in your yard up that he is complaining about and put it in his yard. Then when he comes home you can yell at him and tell him to clean his yard up!!!

A few drops down the fresh air duct on the car, for a nice long lasting effect. Especially after a long sit in the Georgia heat.

Growing up I was always told "to have good neighbors you have to be a good neighbor". I could care less about the state of your lawn, I care more about the state of your character

Kinda sounds like a hold my drink challenge. You need to triple whatever you have in the yard and make sure to apply liberal amounts of fertilizer and water to help the weed growth. It will either make him so crazy he will go mute or the stuff and weeds will be so high you he wont be able to see that your in the yard to yell at.

I have a neighbor up north that deserves it. Garbage blowing around the neighborhood most often at rest in my trees. I typically bag it up before I mow and set it on the roof of whatever car happens to be most capable. I have been waiting for him to yell !

I can be the best neighbor you ever had or the worst !

The neighbor to the north of us is nuts. She's convinced that the kids have it out for her and are purposely trying to agitate her-and by agitate her, i mean by doing things like saying her name or looking in her direction while the kids are playing outside. Once she came over in a rage, convinced that the kids were talking about her, and started screaming profanities at the kids, and even grabbed one of the friends by the arm, until she was chased off by my wife (these things always seem to happen when I'm not home).
About a month ago, the kids accidentally kicked a ball over the fence into her driveway, and she freaked out and came over pounding on the door, telling my wife she'd better watch herself, the world would be a better place without our kids, eff this, eff that, etc on and on. Wifey called the cops, and the neighbor is now trespassed from our property.

We have neighbors that won't mow or have trash piled in their yard.
I just call the city and let them deal with it, takes about a week or so and they get things cleaned up and mowed.

After the 2nd time my neighbors dogs attacked mine, about a foot from my then 1 year old daughter, I went over and told the neighbor if those dogs are ever in our yard again they arent coming home. If I had a safe shot that day, the one wouldnt have returned. He hasnt spoken to or waved at me since, but the dogs havent come back. That was 2 years ago. Only negative encounter with a neighbor that I can think of.

I have a couple neighbors I can see from my front porch. One is a crack mechanic, both auto and small engine. Fixes stuff for me we needed over a beer or three. Another is a heavy equipment operator with all his own equipment. Never had a need but he has offered to loan me his equipment or do the work for a beer or three also. The other neighbor is a good guy but a bit different. Doesn’t own a firearm. He has cattle/sheep/chickens. He has a couple hundred acres and a nice lake. Let’s me hunt/trap/fish. I caught 23 coyotes this past season within a mile of my house from the neighbors properties. Four of these farms are century farms. To buy land in our neighborhood requires you to have family connections.

Put a big sign in your yard saying "Coming Soon--Uncle Warriors Pig Farm---Hundreds To Choose From".

Put up a no trespassing sign and a Turkey Management area sign. That'll get you sum respect.

Neighbor to the North

Sounds like the lady suffers from an acute case of paranoia.

But you still have neighbors, I can kind of see 2 but everyone within a few miles I consider neighbors. And no I don't know them all but they are still neighbors and can be great or cause problems.
