Interesting options maybe…
160…. Without getting too specific we used to go up to the north end of lake Winnipeg and there all the flowages and rivers run northeast to Hudson Bay. You can off load and drift, paddle, motor as far up those waterways as Hudson’s if you want.
Daily there is a pack train that runs out to the bay as well. When you’ve had enough work your way to the rail line, the train will pick stop pick you up. You can toss your boat on and gear on an open car and they bring you back to your starting point. Runs from The Pas to Churchill and back.
You can go the opposite, drive straight north of you to northern Ontario up in the Red lake country and jump onto the Berens River system and take that flowage downstream, west, to lake Winnipeg. Your outfitter picks you up over there and brings you back at the end of your trip. Incredible fishing along the way for both.
I’ve taken clients on some amazing flyins at great prices paying only the plane ride, to places they have only a boat, bring your gear as you said.
It can be an unbelievable adventure kudos to your niece for wanting to go along and keep ol uncle Pinky safe.

That sounds like a great trip! We will be going East of Nipigon on this adventure. I have 4-5 lakes that we can drag the boat into that I suspect have seen very little fishing pressure. As long as the bugs and weather aren't horrible and the bears leave the wall tent alone it should be a good trip.
