I was gonna go with "sound of silence " but it was actually recorded in the early 60s. "Desperado" by the Eagle's has certainly stood the test of time.


Right now I’m having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before.

Not sure if he was in the 70s or not, but Marty Robbins was in the 60s for sure. Anything by him, especially the gunfighter ballads.
Otherwise, The Show Must Go On by Three Dog Night which was the 70s.
