warrior trapper Joined: Jan 2007 Posts: 27,520 Georgia	Not for greys. Gives them a headache or they wear them if not screwed down. Excellent for fliers. Excellent for chipmunks. Don't have reds but I understand they are similar sized to fliers and chipmunks.

I've killed a couple adult grays with them, but not caught, just dead on side of trap with a dent in forehead. 'Munks, reds, fliers, rats and mice, weasels and birds in the right situation. Very versatile trap but target must be size appropriate.

It seems a hit or miss type of thing. We’ve been running these since before winter started. TrapperE trapper T Joined: Jan 2024 Posts: 769 Ohio	My friend puts screws on all sides just outside kill bar but makes sure that no matter where the head is it gets impaled then he nails it to a log, uses peanut butter and it destroys red squirrels. I have found that if you set logs that have fallen over a creek or just a squirrel highway log with a sensitive 110 you will catch reds and greys without bait. If your using coni use the 3 nail method PETA is stupid.

wws trapper W Joined: Oct 2023 Posts: 784 OR	I tried it on ground squirrels, it was something I decided I did not want anyone seeing. I try hard to be careful of the image of trappers. I work a lot in county and city parks, people are very sensitive to what we do. Good luck, wws
