Most likely IMO. But I can hope that there is a tiny bit of disappointment

I trimmed up a little last time thinking it can’t go on for ever,,,,,I was very wrong

Sounds like they’re completely sold out,,, can’t meet demand

A split would be nice

Yeah a split would sure create even more demand for the shares. Things might get a bit more competitive for them in the next quarter. Lots of wannabe competitors ramping up production

Debt is one word, and a bad one.

Unfounded liabilities is two words, and both nationally and state wise the elephant in the room.

So why is everything besides NVDA and a few others down so much today? Just because of the hot PMI report? Nvidia blowing away expectations and all three major indices (and most cryptos) closing the day in the red isn't what I envisioned for today.

Nvda had a good earnings/ growth report better than expected it went up. Other sectors are struggling due in part to inflation and reduced demand so they dropped more when the inflation report was worse than expected and interest rates won't be dropping and could go higher and that will slow the economy more compound and adding to recession outcome. The recession is here the question is how bad and hard will it hit and how long tell the recovery will start.

The uncertainty of the NVDA report was removed once the report was released.. Then the reality of the PMI and various Fed-speakers reiterating "higher for longer" AND of course the extreme valuation of the market overall in addition to the three day weekend coming up. All added up to taking some chips off the table.........IMO

Higher for longer is right. Now the speculation is September. I'd say these "high" rates are as transitory as inflation.

I don't see them lowering rates in September. Maybe November... Just my guess.

The talking heads on Bloomberg are saying that anything after July would be seen as “political”,,,,, aswell as anything immediately post election

If current conditions hold, the market will see to it rates hold. Dimon says there is a chance the Fed will increase
IMHO they aren't high enough.

Angela although the data doesn't support us being in a recession, much of America doesn't feel that way.

401k hardship withdrawals are at a record level, credit card debt is at a record, savings rates have fallen, car loan delinquencies are up, Buy now pay later is up.

I'm happy for me my kids are adults and pretty much off my payroll.

Steven, I get what you're saying.

Just curious though, how much of that do you contribute to the sustained higher prices from inflation and how much do you contribute it to the instant gratification generation overextending themselves by buying on credit things they have no right to be buying?

I think China is moving away from the U.S. in a lot of things including grains they’ve been very reluctant to buy grain from the U.S. and moving towards South American grain but from what’s been reported they haven’t bought as much from them as they have the U.S. in the past so there’s been a lot of speculation about that from sow herd reduction to an economic depression, so who knows.

Instant gratification generation? Or generations?

I believe inflation is a direct result of an increase of the money supply attributed wholly to the government and the Federal Reserve. We have transitioned to a consumer economy. Where would our economy be without instant gratification consumers
