I waited 14 months for my Banish 30, and now it’s been over 14 months since I received it and still haven’t tried it. I’m sure if I ever drew a Tag, I would get excited about it again. As far as the “Stamp”, is a picture on your phone all you need to do or do you have to keep it on your person to be legal ? I found this thread interesting, I’ve had nothing but good experiences with the Wardens out here.

You know...there are a few other GWs on Tman. They're smarter than me as they don't put it out there much and surely don't offer a wildlife law enforcement viewpoint. I should follow their lead....lol

Georgia GWs, by policy, don't work traffic enforcement....unless there is an immediate public safety threat or they are assisting another agency.....ie possible drunk driver or reckless driver. They do issue citations for traffic offenses if the offense occurred during a wildlife violation...ie night deer hunter is driving with no driver's license, etc....the GW makes those charges too.

We were not trained in speed detection and did not have radar devices issued to us....thank goodness! Georgia GW command staff wants officers to concentrate on wildlife enforcement/boating safety.......not highway traffic.

lol
It’s a lesson in futility Patrick!

That not one I'm familiar with. I have been around many models on a lot of platforms when I host metering session on my farm. Ton and pitch make a bigger difference than decibel #'s. Low with higher decibels #s will sound more quiet to your ear than high pitch with lower #s.

Silincer co has great customer service. Had a friend make a mistake and shot his off the end of ont of his handgun. He sent it to them asking if they could fix it his mistake and what it would cost. They sent it back fixe at no charge.

Heard good things about most of main manufacturers. I have a few old liberty models and sas that are no longer made. I should pick up 2 more .22lr cans, more .35 cal and 2 more 30cals . I have been putting it off for a long time now

Venomous snakes are protected "unless you or your property are directly threatened". I've never heard of anyone being charged for killing any snake. Years ago a city employee killed 23 garter snakes in his yard and made the front page of the Republican. No charges filed.
My Mother never broke a law in her 77 yrs but a snake in her yard got chopped to pieces. Vigorously.

Venomous snakes (6 species in Georgia) are not protected. Can legally kill and sell.

I'm an old coon....and I've played word games with jackasses for nearly 30 years. I call it like I see it....and try to present facts or ask questions if I don't know.

If you don't like my opinions and posts...then don't reply or add to them.

It'll be a lot less stressful on you that way.

Oh...this is a dead rattlesnake post...in Georgia!

So I wonder what you would do if one of those jackasses was to talk back to you. Possibly beat it, you seem to have a knack for beating a dead horse to death !

Yeah Slipknot, this Foxpaw character still has his panties in a wad over a post I made several days ago where I asked a question he thought I shouldn't ask. He makes out like he is an expert on that particular subject matter, but it's obvious he isn't.

I don’t post my faults or ignorance of the law on here, but when it comes to GW they are just like every other professions, there are good ones and bad ones. I’ve dealt with both, but the good outnumbered the bad. The bad I’ve dealt with are gone now. There’s one more that ran his mouth a little, but he’s calmed down and even skipped me on a dove field when someone told him where I was. I’ve had others on a WMA hunt walk up and ask for license then look and said I know you. He laughed and asked if my boys were here also and when I pointed them out and offered my license he said no need, y’all have a great hunt. This particular guy was with the GW that had it out for us after checking us for the exact same thing 3 days in a row. I’ve been on several hunts with GW off duty. I’ll give them one thing, all them guys could shoot.

As far as the snake, that was a beauty! Ain’t seen a rattlesnake in years, Diamondback or Canebrake. I think a lot of our Northern and Western brethren just need to learn the 3S rule. Especially the last S!

WB,
Some Georgia GWs have burned thru many boxes of shells. At a meeting or two, we've used up some old rounds and clay targets left over from hunter education-related skeet shoots.

Don't know Brian. The Game Mgmt guys for your area were out of the Albany office for most of my career. Now Turner County is part of Metter Region. Before that restructuring, I worked out of Metter...then Brunswick until I retired.

Greg Wade worked Tift and Turner. Then, Al Greer. Both of those guys made supervisors. Al is now captain over the NE Ga region. I think Greg is still in Tifton area.

Morty Wood (from Nashville) is the supervisor now over Turner County. Turner didn't have an assigned officer when I retired 2 years ago. There may be a new officer there now...not sure.

Lol.....this thread reminds me of my dad when I was little.

My mom hated snakes. Whenever she came across one , she would let out a shriek. Dad would come running as the man of the house and protector. Dad knew almost nothing about hunting/fishing/trapping or wildlife in general.

He would take a normal shovel and plunge it down hard in the middle of the snake and cut it in half in one shot as the shovel thrust into the dirt. Then pick up the two pieces with the shovel and toss them in the woods. They would wiggle for hours afterwards. Usually just garter snakes but mom hated them and dad got to be the big protector.

Dad has been gone over 45 years now , mom 20 years.
