I’ve got the 410 just still hard to find shells in Arkansas

I did find some a week ago but the were 2 1\2 inch. First I have seen in this area for quite some time.

3" #4's work great in a TC Contender for grouse.

I have a batch of 3" but will typically buy 2 1/2 inch. Many of my old 410's only take 2.5 inch. I need to start shooting 28's more. I think I have over 3 cases of ammo for them. Well, I did........before the boating accident of '24.

I went to the 2024 World Sporting Championships at M&M Hunting in Pennsville, NJ. They had ammo available at very reasonable prices (slightly lower than our local prices) and all you wanted, one flat or a whole pallet. All target ammo, 7 1/2, 8, 8 1/2, and 9 and just about any manufacturer you wanted. I came home with 5 flats of Fiocchi 1 oz 7 1/2 and 2 flats AA 410 2 1/2 inch 8's. My son got 5 flats of B&P 1 oz 7 1/2. Saw several pick-ups leave with a whole pallet in the bed, made a couple of them sag pretty good in the back end.

It was a great event with shooters from all over the world, over 2000 of them. I just shot some practice 5 stand and drove my son around to his events in my Mule. The kid tanked in the prelim but took second in his class at FITASC. He did very well for never having shot it before, won a little over $600. Paid for his ammo and entry fees with some left over.

In the last 2 years I picked up 17 boxes of 410 shells mostly 3 inch ,then I bought the gun for the grandkids.

I bought two cases when 160 posted about them being $15 a box. I have bought 410 shells by the case since the mid to late 1970's. I bought them for a few years when there was still 20 boxes to a case.

I think I still have at least 1 full case of those too. I haven't seen them that cheap since either and I doubt I will.

I thought that was a good deal at the time, so I got two cases. I saw some about a month later for about the same price. But shipping was more.

I have a couple of Yildiz side x side 410s that are fun to shoot.

I have a model 41 Winchester that I have had for at least 50 years. I am a bit apprehensive about shooting it. Even though it appears fine and is tight. My model 12 is 110 years old but I don't hesitate to fire that one..it is a 12 ga

Love my 410’s. Bought an MEC 600JR a few years back it has paid for itself a couple times over. I am seeing more 410 on the shelves but it is pricy.
