Little 16ft section is running heavy again this year. Started this a while back with 5 thornless apaches. The fruiting canes are a quarter in diameter or more.

They sucker like crazy now. Got a bit late moving the suckers this year, only moved a half dozen. Will relocate the rest this fall.

I have to net my whole patch. It is 65 ft long. PVC frame with bird netting. Wouldn't get a berry if I didnt

birds seem to go after my strawberries and dont bother the blackberries as much.

Have plans for blackberry pie? We used to have a little diner in the neighboring town of Hopwood called Herring’s. They had the best pies ever.
