What are your favorite berries to eat fresh?

What are your favorite berries to make pies, jellies and jams with?

What are the specific varieties, if you know them?

Keith

Wild black raspberries for both fresh eating and baking are number 1.

Strawberries straight from the garden for fresh eating, shortcake, and strawberry rhubarb pie.

Blueberries for baking.

Strawberries. Don't make jam or anything else, do not know the variety.

I got myself a seniors' GPS.
Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination,
it tells me why I wanted to go there.

I tried blue berries here and was not successful. Strawberries, raspberries, then tart cherries. I mix those with my applesauce and rhubarb as well as eating them separate.

That’s so funny I was JUST talking about blackberry pie on another thread not long ago. We had a little diner called Herrings in the neighboring town of Hopwood. It has been closed for decades. But best blackberry pie I’ve ever eaten. I was just a kid but I can close my eyes and almost smell the restaurant. Makes me miss my grandparents so much!

You can keep those red raspberries, but black raspberry jelly is hard to beat....

Just got done "picking" strawberries in the garden. I pick one for the pot and one for my mouth. Came in and wife said I thought there were more than that ready. Just said that's all I got. Same thing picking black raspberries. She brings home twice what I do, but I can't hide my purple teeth.
