Yep, clocks tickin, times running out. BGs are ready, footholds & snares next. ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2024/06/full-56418-220208-img_1637.jpeg) With only 4 months between seasons, and summer being so busy, gotta get cracking…lol Obviously Oct1 and May31 is too early/late, but I used the late season to get some far out of the way beaver for a couple friends. Got a freezer full of RS beaver to put up in fall too….the dryer tumblers ready to try, half the wood split for winter, fix my floats…big list

Too warm I always get excited the first cool day we get in September I have to agree! I like to read about trapping all year but once it gets cool and crisp, it triggers something in your brain.

A cool damp morning with the faint smell of skunk in the air makes me think of trapping.
Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that!

I got a nuisance thing going right now so the only itch is the bug bites.
but I definitely know the feeling.
more fishing more shooting helps calm the symptoms

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

I've always got the itch, but I prefer to wait until December to start k-9 trapping The colder the better, and the deer herd has been thinned out Deer stepped traps drive me nuts. It's a short drive

The older 330's came out dark olive drab, figured it was because of the black paint underneath. But the 120s that seen 2 seasons of use had no treatment at all and came out the same color.

Got 8 dozen traps cleaned, prepped, dyed and waxed last week. Drying sand this week for making waxed sand next week as soon as the rains pass in the next few days. Going through and prepping the rest of my gear and making a list of things I need to pick up at the conventions. Also doing a little ADC work on gophers, skunks and woodchucks just to keep in the loop.
Common sense is a not a vegetable that does well in everyone's garden.
