Have used Steiner 8x30 marine binocs for several years, I like them. However, ive also looked through the newer ones and they did not seem as clear. Never used their scopes, no help there....

Steiner is part of the Beretta Group now. A good friend of mine started at Steiner, after leaving Special Operations in the USAF. He became the CEO of the Beretta Groups Optics Division, after Steiner was bought out. Their military grade optics are phenomenal. They honestly seem like magic. I've gotten to try some of the military grade equipment, but don't have any experience with their sportsmen equipment. What are you interested in at Steiner? I'm sure my friend could have someone contact you.

I purchased a pair of MM1050 Tactical, and was completely disappointed in them. They were not crisp and clear, and I sent them back, hopefully you will have better luck.

Got couple Steiner rifle scopes, had since early 90's good scopes. For bino's own Swarvoski. Remember buying first set in 94, seller said to me, how many prs., of bino's have you owned, buy these last set you will ever need.Have been used for hunting, scouting, etc. Broke down last week bought pr., of SLC 15x56, for spotting mounted on tripod, for shooting, had a Vortex Razor spotting scope, was to darn bulky, and heavy to lug around. Considered Steiner, Zeiss, not much in price difference, looked thru Zeiss, no dealers close for Steiner, went with Swarvorski, tried and proven, plus there warranty is excellent . Had years of use with mine only thing eye piece cracked, called Swarv, had new ones in a week. Swarv 8x40, sit side by side with 16x56, in safe

Unless you intend to spend Multiple hours a day behind your Bino's , glassing for game (or other things ?) . You will never know the difference between Zeiss, Leica , Swarovski and a set of Nickon 220+/- dollar Binos ... My advice is go to the store as late as you can and ask the clerk to let you take them outside and glass an object at dusk or as near to then as you can .... I did this in Riverton , WYO when I bought my glass and it helped me choose what was best for MY Eyes ... Everyone's eyes are different ... John Bareness wrote the best book on hunting optics I've ever read and he pulls no punches and shatters the myth of expensive Glass... Just my 2 cents ...

I have a pair of Steiner Nighthunter 10x50 binoculars. I love them for guiding, they gather more light than anything else I have used, are very clear and comfortable to look through for long periods. They are also very bulky and heavy, which makes them not nearly as nice when I am hunting myself and packing my rifle, etc. And because of their bulk are more likely to get in the way of a quick shot opportunity. I also own a pair of 8x28 compact Steiners, forget the model (not their Predators), I would never recommend them, obviously with that kind of an objective size I didn't expect phenomenal light gathering abilities, but the clarity sucks, colors seem washed out and whatever they used for lens coating (if anything) sucks, if there is light anywhere close to shining at the lens the glare makes it almost impossible to pick anything out through them.

Their high end binos are very good, much better light gathering than Zeiss (the wife has Zeiss binos, super crisp, clear image; but VERY disappointed in the light gathering). The model I have (which is long discontinued) is better than anything I have used for light gathering, including Swarvorski and Leica, and on par with the other top brand glass I have looked through for clarity. That being said, if I was buying new binoculars today, I would probably go with Vortex Razor 10x40s, also very clear, excellent light gathering ability, if a bit less than my Nighthunters, they seem to have a slight advantage over the Swarvorskis I have used in that department, while being considerably cheaper and also less bulky. They are half the size and probably less than half the weight of my current binoculars.

Steiner has good glass but they are heavy binos.
Swaro is still regarded as one of the best.
Vortex higher end is ok but you may need that great warranty if going lower end.

Maven makes some good binos too and not as expensive as Swaro.
Used Swaros would be nice too, they have a great warranty also.

I’ve got a pair of the predators.

Piles of junk IMO.

Been back to Steiner once to fix the focus knob. Came back with a messed up diopter.
