My numbers change daily. I have over 65 beaver 18 otter 150 plus muskrat and over 350 mink up there. Hopefully a good sale.

Ack, I know from what you told me that you have been freezing and holding your mink now for several years. I am guessing that you are selling the ones that have been in the freezer for many years. Could you see a difference between how they looked and how fresh ones look? Did the ones in the freezer for say 6 years look any different from the ones that were in the freezer for say 3 years? And more importantly how have they been graded? Are you seeing just as many selects as you would usually get or do they seem to be grading them harder? Easier?

When I pulled them they looked like the day I put them in. Although I haven't counted I would say it looks like a normal to maybe slightly better grade.

i think if they would put in alittle more effort they would get alot more buyers and better prices paid. tens of thousands of cattle are sold by real time bidding by video ( not photos) every week with great sucess. F.H.A. are trying to run the auction with stone age technology! but maybe the bigger buyers that have fur there or the attending global buyer would not welccome that competition. seems they have alot of unexplained private tready deals! just speculation on my part as i am not in the know. hoping everyone has a great sale. Years ago NAFA tried online bidding. It was a flop. This method appears to be unproductive in the skin game.

It must be overwhelming to have to take pictures of items.

live feed video in auction room with a online screen feed where the auctioneer can take online bid. buyers have already previewed catalog videos photos and description of lots and can bid on lots just like the buyers are doing in the room in real time

Years ago NAFA tried online bidding. It was a flop. This method appears to be unproductive in the skin game. Maybe with the main market today being trinkets and tourist trade fur, it would help move some fur if they made it so those smaller buyers could get involved. The state trapper auctions that cater to those people do as well or better than FHA does.
