' My wife and I just watched A Walk In The Woods,Robert Redford and Nick Nolte starred in this hilarious movie, We laughed so hard and I had to keep wiping the tears from my eyes. I was worried about wetting my pants-it was so funny.
I should mention-the language was like most movies today-very raw at times. But other than that-funniest movie I
have seen in decades.

Still laughing,both fell in the creek .

My favorite line is when he says " She has a great body, it's just surrounded by 200 pounds of fat". I laughed out loud at that one.

Just watched this movie this afternoon. Realy good. Laughed a bunch.

Thank you for this thread... Watched it last night after the wife and kid went to bed early.. Wife came out asking why I was laughing out loud by myself and that she couldn't fall asleep through my giggle....

Definitely a Classic !

Just watched it on Netflix, pretty good movie.

I watched this movie last night since you’re all talking about it.

There were a couple funny parts, but that old guy with the beard ruined the movie for me. I couldn’t stand his character and him slurring every word. Too bad he was such a big part of the movie and was part of every single scene.

That was Nick Nolte. He's a pretty famous actor and, IMO, a pretty good one.

His character didn't bother me. LOL

I agree that it wasn't really a comedy but I thought it was a good movie.

Tom, if you thought the movie was funny……read the book! My wife and I read that book out loud to one another in bed back when we first met and their was LOTS of laughing. The characters (especially Katz) are even funnier in the book by about double in my opinion. This is coming from a NON reader.

I agree the movie was a little raw for some and wish it weren’t that way, but I also don’t think this particular story would have been told in its entirety without the foulness. Happy trapping! ScottW

Heck, I would have nominated Nolte for an Oscar, if I was into that stuff.

For me, it was a “depends on your mood” movie. If your having a few and in a good mood its hilarious. If you’re having one of those thinker days, there’s a lot of stuff going on in it as well. Good movie both ways imo.

Good summary Trapset. For me it was the latter.
