Looking to trade up my duke 1 1/2 regular jaws for double jaws. Are there any brands besides duke ko that are available? Looking at going with the dukes, but won't decide for sure until I get a chance to play with a KO at a convention.

I would go with the No-BS Double jaw any day of the week.

Loosegoose, I searched around a little and it looks like those two manufacturers are about the only 1.5 coil in double jaw options readily available.
I used to run a lot of Vic 1.5 coil double jaws for coon but they don’t seem to make that size Vic coil in double jaw coils anymore or at least some of the major supply businesses didn’t show them in their inventory.
Dukes are of course less expensive than KOs and get the job done. Duke 1.5 is one of the better duke traps in my opinion. I usually want more traps and am willing to pass on the more expensive traps if it means I can make more sets with a less expensive brand. But if KOs are more durable and quality maybe that is a better long term buy?

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

Try your State or local conventions for good used.

I'd go with the Dukes. I've got several hundred and have used them for years. They are a great coon trap.
