In forty plus years of fooling with bees never had one get inside my ear. Had to hand a pair of tweezers, from my swiss army knife, to another beekeeper to get it out. Didn't get stung.

You are lucky you didnt get stung. I had a small wasp get in my ear while I was bow hunting for hogs one evening. It stung me five times and I could feel it clawing my ear drum. Most painful thing I have ever felt. ER dr had to get it out a piece at a time because ear canal almost swelled shut. Started bleeding pretty bad. He didnt get it all out. Pieces of wasp were coming out of my ear a month later

I would say you lucked out I got stung on eyelid once not good hurt for a week

I used to work at this big factory years ago. This girl that worked there went outside for a smoke. She had a potato weevil? get into her ear. It drove her absolutely nuts with pain/discomfort as it was right up to her eardrum and scratching it in an effort to get out of her ear.
She was in such a state , they couldn't wait for an ambulance and got another employee to drive her right to the hospital while giving almost no regard to speed limits. Lucky the hospital was only 2 miles away.

She was admitted instantly upon arrival.

The E.R. doctor did something very smart right away , he soaked her ear in rubbing alcohol which killed the bug fast. Then he was able to calmly remove the bug with forceps.

Good thing to know , in case it happens to you or someone you know , rubbing alcohol can be super useful.

Fifty years of keeping bees, never had one in my ear. In my nose, once. Just pinched my nostrils shut with my fingers.

I got stung on the eyelid by a red wasp a couple of years ago.
Looked like I had been fighting

I spent the next 3 days spraying EVERY wasp nest I could find, and I was looking hard for them.

Dad had a bug in his ear in the woods one time, we blew cigarette smoke in there, he came out.
