Dad and Uncle did. Both got rid of vehicles worthy of the scrapper. Not a good govt. program though.

Nope but it took a lot if good affordable vehicles off the market and I believe helped drive up prices. With your tax money of course.

I remember a radio show where they interviwed mechanics who had to put the silicone oxide or whatever it was that the used in , and ran them with no oil till they died and would not restart

they had one old Dodge 318 that went 27 minutes they were sure if it had been feed oil it would have lived a LOT longer

the idea was sold as get old gas guzzlers off the road

the reality was people were about to discover a major quality shift in post 2006 cars so try and stimulate the economy by removin viable transportation


America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

My new car has a button for pretty much everything. Even has one that says rear wiper. Still too afraid to try that one.
