Congratulations from one cancer survivor to another !!!

If for whatever reason she thinks she may need to see a dentist I'd suggest seeing a oral surgeon just in case as I feel they can determine a better course of treatment than the average dentist can after cancer treatments when it's a person's throat is involved .

Feeding tubes are something else , when the Dr removed mine is a day I won't forget anytime soon .

She will be going with an oral surgeon, that was involved in her surgery team.

She has a few rough weeks left, before swelling and sores recede, but otherwise is doing quite well. We are hoping that she starts to get her sense of taste back so the feeding tube can be removed.
She had the G-Tube installed 5 or so weeks ago. She could not eat anymore by mouth, and was loosing too much weight. For us, the feeding tube was a blessing in disguise, and since, she has maintained a healthy weight!
Cindi’s surgery was on February 27, and since that day, most things that could go wrong, have gone wrong!
Everything from skin grafts not surviving, infections, blood clots, and a list of others, have tested her will, but each new problem only gave her more strength.
Cindi is kicking this cancer to the curb, and stomping it into a mudhole!!!!
She is my hero!
(UPDATE)
Cindi had her first post surgery PET scan, Tuesday morning. The Oncologist’s nurse just sent a message, stating that they cannot see any cancer cells. So, today we celebrate, and look forward to many more years.
I want to thank everyone for the prayers, and thoughts, and kindness during this time.
We feel so blessed by the lifting of the burden, in which we have endured.
Saturday, we host our family reunion at our home, and we get to spread the good news.

Awesome!!!
I know that when my wife got the "all clear" word, it was a load off our minds!

what wonderful news treatments are very difficult. Take you to deaths door and the after effects. chemo brain( memory issues) weak bones and limited stamina have been lasting effects for mom. But she keep chugging along. She quit taking the drugs thus year against Dr suggestion and her back quit hurting and she has more energy. she is 5 years out and was given 22% chance of making it 5 years.

sounds like you have a strong woman for sure. But your equally strong it's harder to watch a loved one suffer than to deal with it yourself. At least for me I would rather take it than watch loved ones suffer and ther is nothing you can do.

Sounds like she is doing well and well on her way to enjoying many many more years with her family. Cancer sucks I love the stories that win.
