For those who don't know the PACT act was set up for service members who were exposed to fumes and chemicals that were harmful to them in their theatre they operated in during their service.

I wondered why so many lawyers were advertising on TV about helping to get service members PACT act reimbursement.

Well I finally found out.

I was listening to talk radio yesterday. It seems bella pelosi and her merry band of thieves decided to lift the cap on what percentage of the reimbursement lawyers could charge for their services. It is a federal reimbursement so it will take someone who knows the federal hoops to jump through (as I understand it).

So that bitty and her flying monkeys decided to give free rein to their fellow lawyer thieves and vultures to take as much money as THEY choose at the expense of the health of US service members who served our conutry.

What absolute pieces of crap.

Remember!!!

So when you hear the news media telling you the republicans were blocking the PACT act, it is because they wanted to put a cap on legal fees.

The democrats did not.

Sorry if this is deemed political but I thought it important for fellow tman members who are former military. This way they know to shop lawyer vultures before just using any one of them.

You don't need a lawyer to navigate filling a claim, you can easily do it yourself on VA.gov or you can choose a service organization like the VFW, DAV, or your county Veterans service officer, there is a huge list of these organizations which all provide the same services these lawyers do, but the service organizations do it for free. If you need help finding a service organization in your area please let me know.

Wild_WI is 100 percent correct. You can file a VA disability claim for free. When you get disability it's all yours not some thieving lawyer. The lawyers want 40 percent plus a 3 percent expense fee. I don't know if you pay taxes on it if you get it thru a lawyer but it's tax fee money if you go thru the VA.

I have filed for the intent on filing for the PACT. I need to get in gear and finish up. We sat around the burn pits in Egypt drinking coffee shooting the crap.

The VA always asks me about exposure. This appointment they narrowed it down to Gulf war and some other recent events.I tell them I have no idea if I was exposed. My service was Vietnam era.So down the road you get sick and they test you to find out you got this or that which most likely came from exposure in the military.Do you think for one minute I am gonna say NO I was never exposed to anything I know off right now so they can record it then latter use it against you.I was not born yesterday or even the day before that.

Just wish the JAG team handling the Camp Lejeune claims would get off their butts and start making the settlements. This progressing blood cancer is taking a bigger toll , have dropped 40 pounds in weight and 4 inches in waist, wife says can be used as an example for studying bone structure. Managed to beat polio as a kid I the 50's but not sure have this beat but not giving up

Jingles, if you have not received a decision on your claim or you want to know the current status you have options. You can submit a written inquiry at Ask VA (first link) responses take up to 5 days. You can check the status online at the second link below or you can call the number listed which is for VA benefits. You can PM me if you need additional assistance.
