An old Browning shoots like a dream??? Mine shoots like a mule that’s got his nuts tangled in barbed wire! It hits where you point it, but after a box of shells you definitely know it!!

So, if you have so much ammo that its a question of where to store it, where would you put it for safe keeping?

I use a food saver to vacuum seal it to keep any moisture out and it’s in large ammo cans in my storm shelter plenty of room in there as we hand build it 14 foot by 20 foot and 8 foot tall with beds and cabinets for extras plus generator attached to it for power so it’s all good

Rifle ammo in a closet. Didn’t realize how many flats of shotgun shells I had until the wife wanted to rearrange the bedroom and move our bed. Apparently I’d shoved cases of shells under the bed and forgot about them. I generally buy 2-3 at the start of every dove season whether I need them or not. Found 12 unopened cases under the bed and 6 in the game room closet. All 12ga anywhere from #6 to #9 shot. Needless to say if I buy more this year they’ll have to be hidden from the wife.

well it makes sense

ammo is like gas and guns are like the truck , you got to run thousands of gallons of gas to wear out the truck

Sounds like me forgetting things like that. It's like Christmas when I find it again.

Though I never hide what I buy from the wife. Often she will have to sign for it when delivered. I think I won the loto with my wife she never questions any of my purchases. The opposite honestly and will tell me if I want it, think it's a good deal oe we need it than buy it when I'm trying to talk myself out of buying something I don't really need. But having been with me since we were 16 I think she knows I don't spend money lightly, never lost money on a gun purchases, and buying ammo and components is like money in the bank.
