His right side measured 72” last year. My son’s been watching him for 3 years now. He was a 130ish 2 year old and he knew he’d be one to keep an eye on. He saw him last year and text from the stand he was 23 yards but needed another year. He pulled his stand and kept cams up monitoring him. We knew he made it through the season and found him early this year. We still think he’s young, but it’ll be a game time decision for him to make if he has him in front of him again.

Pretty cool the growth over 10 days.

Nothing special on camera for me. No bucks, moose, elk but a few doe and fawns and turkeys. Here is a muley fawn.

Wonder is whitetail fawns make fun of mule deer fawns because of their ears, lol???

Does anyone have pics of their tree stands and hunting set ups, etc?

Here’s a pic of my son in a lock on. It’s not very high but situated between 3 trees and I’ve had deer walk directly beside it. For some reason they pay absolutely not attention to it. He’d just shot his first archery deer in this pic and was shaking too bad to climb down, lol. Lock on, 3 or 4 sets of steps, a lifeline, and a strap on the tree above the lock on for your harness. 12ft maybe, lol.

Here’s a ladder stand they pay no attention to. It’s against a tree wide enough to break my outline. And it’s a great coon spot, caught 9 coons here. Look behind the coon.

I kinda think that first one is cool. Is the platform on it homemade or a metal frame?

It’s a cheap lock on from Walmart. My son had all our good ones put out at his property. Think I was a Waddel special Walmart had for $89 with sticks included. All I did is reenforce the straps. We do that every year. There were 3 trees growing together so the steps are on one trunk and the platform is on another. The lifeline is on the trunk with the steps and the other strap is on the trunk with the lockon itself. We step on the lockon, connect caribeaner to harness and disconnect lifeline.
Like I said, it’s not but maybe 12ft or so but we took 7 does from that stand last year. It’s in a drain with oaks that is just a natural travel route. I’ve shot a deer with my bow, called my son to come get in the stand while I was getting my deer out, and he shot another before I ever got back with the truck, lol.

You need to go kill those hogs and you’ll start seeing deer! I beginning to think your just trying to tempt someone from a surrounding county to sneak in and kill them so you can prosecute them, lol!!!

Finally seeing some poults. They’ve been bugging in my buckwheat plots pretty heavily in the past week.

Good looking poults. Hopefully they’ll make it to adulthood.
