Took on a pigeon job for a non-profit rescue farm. Owner told me over a hundred birds. Oh, yeah, and then some. First night shoot I locked them into one of the barns, and shot around 120 of them. Then set a couple pigeon traps and over time caught over a hundred more. I've shot 10 or 20 each time out for a while. The cages stopped catching for a while so I just baited and left them open for a couple weeks. Reset and caught about 15 more over last week. I'm up to about 333 kills, not including the ones I hit but flew off, probably another 30 or so. They are extremely wary now, but can still shoot a few in second barn at night. This barn is more open, so some fly off after a couple shots. So, I'm down to approximately 15 birds left. They fly from barn to a dead tree to roost. One shot and they fly back to barn roof. So, to my question, will a glue board (with cardboard base) hold a pigeon? Was thinking of mounting a 2x4 to the peak of barn roof, covered with glue boards the entire length. Would most likely only keep it in place while I could monitor it so to avoid other birds as much as possible, and push the pigeons back and forth. Any other thoughts/ideas?

Well, bite me Grey. I'm sure you think you're the only professional on the site, but instead of being a Richard, give advice or shut the piehole. I don't like glue boards for anything, but they sometimes have a place in nuisance work whether YOU like it or not. Not looking for your respect, looking to finish up a job efficiently. Any caught birds will be dispatched immediately, not left to linger and die. As said, I've caught or shot around 350 birds so far. I'm looking for options for the last cagey few, if I can't finish them off with cage traps or shooting.

Pigeons are very smart birds, for birds. I used to have a problem with them squatting their fat butts in my bird feeders, and hoovering everything till it was all gone. I killed a few with a pellet rifle and in 6 month's time, NO MORE PROBLEM! This was 25 years ago, and the 'Hood still has ton's of birds, especially at the apartments up the road, but they STILL avoid my house.
