First it was the mb550 and the 450, and now it is the belisle 330. Whats next the ts85? That would be interesting. I'd for sure take a look at those.

Duke also copied the Bridger 2 dogless. We have some of those and honestly I can't tell em apart without reading the pan.

The feature I like about the Duke 2 dogless are the angled insides of the lever slots. That causes much better lock up. ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2024/07/full-11603-224549-screenshot_20240723_110508_chrome.jpg) Bridgers are straight walled...

Swamp, what is the price difference? Have you tried the dukes? About a $20/doz difference. Dukes cheaper. I have not used the Dukes, but am very familiar with the better lever design from years of using Sleepy Creek coilsprings.

Copy or sell a copy of a Video....the Trappers say Theft
Copy and sell a Trap and it's ok? Copy anything you want, no sweat off of my back I'm glad at least a couple manufacturers are in the game and making traps trappers are asking for. And not using the price of steel as an excuse. The cost of steel just gets past off to the consumer anyway. Doesn't seem to be lack of people buying. Sleepy Creek and Victor stocks are virtually sold out

I will be setting for fox and cats this late fall. Now ADC work. No dice. Stick with my belisle, mb750, and my Montgomeries #2's. Sarge

I'm not selling them SgtC, but I have handled one.
The only difference I see (other than Duke better lever design) is a noticeable difference in the steel used. The Duke steel has a cheaper look and feel than most other trap brands.....as always.

Copy and sell a Trap and it's ok? All traps are a copy of someone else's trap. I know some people hate Duke, but i bet they do alot more for trapping than 99% of their haters.

Dukes have their place like others. I have 3 dozen tricked out Duke 1.5 that I used for the running pens years ago. Won't sell. Never be able to recoup cost. I might order one to see for myself. Will be running a line this fall and winter. Proof is in actual use. But, we all know. No such thing as the perfect trap or anything for that matter.

Is there much in trapping that hasn't already been copied by now? In this day and age, it seems there isn't much that's sacred. So, unless there is a patent infringment, I doubt there is any foul. Besides, isn't imitation supposed to be the highest form of flattery?
