In addition to his short video on fixing the Duke traps, Dale Billingsly also has a video for those struggling to set these double long springs with stout springs. Perhaps Dale has figured out a way to make some money off his videos.......as he has been producing tons of them.

I was going to say Oneida Victor is still producing the Newhouse and B&L new #11s, but when I went to F&T both say they are out of stock. Southeastern does have the Newhouse in stock.

Does anyone know if Victor is still producing these?

Thought I read that Victor wasn't making any traps until the price of steel "comes down." Whatever that means.

F & T's website says three years...I doubt we will ever see them again.

Switched from Sleepy Creek years ago to the Newhouses. Lovely little tenacious trap. Have nearly a hundred. Choice #1 for guarding a pocket set with sufficient drowning water immediately nearby for the drowner cable.

Thanks. Never tried them but good to know of another viable option.

All my 11s are double jaws. When targeting the front foot of a 'coon, IMO, it's the best trap out there. Still have some new ones awaiting the next 'coon rally, hopefully in my lifetime.

So, some of you like the Newhouse trap. Correct? I recall getting bad reviews on the Newhouse traps from some on here. Maybe it's a Ford versus Chevy time of thing.

Seriously, what's there to not like? I'm curious.

I'll still grab the DPs and other traps I have, but that is a pretty trap.

Man I loved #11s for coon. Water, land, whatever got in them was there waiting for me next check. Even got a cat in a dryland coon set in a #11, and held a couple beaver too. Had one coyote held in them by the pad too. Just the pad, and it held him. Tenacious holding power in those little traps. Front foot coon it was the best trap I ever used.

These were mostly old style sleepy creeks.

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

Love those 11's, caught several otter in them along with some pretty big beaver, coons & rats. You better stake for the biggest thing you have because an 11 will hold it, think it could hold an elephant. Them things lock up!
