This is a great time of year for photographing whitetail bucks, the bucks are in velvet and horns are still soft and sensitive. Because of this they aren’t wanting to spend all their time in the corn and I sometimes catch them on the edge of bean fields or in the tall grass.
The smoke this year has made getting nice crisp pictures impossible as it just stays to dark in the mornings when the bucks are moving.

Dang them are all great deer !!! That's just the ones you have seen . I'm sure more lurking in the corn and moving after dark

The real big ones just lay down wherever they are at and disappear, I’ve seen it many times. I usually don’t get pics of those until the rut kicks in unless I’m really lucky.
