Well i woke up this morning ,and set to the kitchen table for my morning coffee and looked out the window , there was 18 turkeys in my front yard less than 20 feet from the house. Two hens and 16 half grown birds. Never seen them that close to the house before. smile

Starting to see poults around here, they are getting pretty good size. Was not seeing any a few weeks ago, but they are starting to be in the fields.

Green up was weeks earlier and warmer this year in MO. Still had much rain this spring and figuring another bust. Been seeing big hatches. First time in years and thinking me hitting nest raiders hard is paying off.

Throw some feed at them and they tame right up, I have them walking onto the deck and pecking at the slider to get my attention, lol

All that's going to accomplish is to turn
good, independent, hard foraging, Republican turkeys
into liberal democrat turkeys who are dependent on free
entitlements, and are always looking for a handout !!! laugh

A few years ago three gobblers would come to my patio to get sunflower seeds. Sometimes they would peck on the glass sliding door. If we were not home, they would get frustrated and sling our doormat out into the lawn.

I've got some Mallards I feed at work. Just like described , almost tame , waiting for free food every day.

I call them duckocrats laugh

They eat , then go back in the river , preen a bit then sleep. They do nothing all day except for smoking their quack pipes.......lol

What you are telling us is that these entitled, liberal, progressive democrat turkeys
would riot in a mostly peaceful protest until they got their free stuff ? laugh
