Checked a couple cameras today, had a coal black wolf on one. And since ya'll like to look at horned critters I threw in a pic of some of them also.

These two bucks look like littermates, been getting them on this camera pretty regular. For a cheap $25 dollar chinese camera it takes pretty good pictures in the daytime, but nighttime they are really grainy. But I can't really see the IR flash like I can on so many cameras and it doesn't seem to spook the critters like most of mine at night. Just got one of those cheap Muddy's like Swamp is running to try, but you need to watch it with them, some models have a 1.5 second delay on the shutter, which is at least double if not more than any other camera I have looked at, and on a trail an animal walking at a decent pace is liable to go clear through the picture before the camera snaps it.

Yes we do, we just lost four months of our trapping season to the grizzly bear lawsuit, so trapping is only open December 1 to February 28 now in this part of the state, but hunting is still year round.

Well, he’s still alive!! Ain’t had his pic in over a month. Not the best pic, but enough to know it’s the split G2 buck.

Yeah, his gut is what told me it was him without even seeing the antlers. We’re thinking I screwed up last year on age…he’s definitely 5.5+ now, lol.

Thinking of putting a lock-on in there, or just leaving it alone and give them a place of rest. It’s a place you can drive right by and they don’t move. It’s surrounded by some THICK brush. It also will hold water when it’s really wet.

Appreciate the cell camera suggestions. Got 2 of the Reveal Gen 2 on sale for $79 a couple of weeks ago. They’re pretty addicting. I can see myself with 10 more.

Still using my card cameras. Big 10 and this buck coming through morning and evening like clockwork. Hoping he’ll keep that pattern for 6 more weeks, but I doubt it.
