Heard on the news this morning that MN is going to pass a law that if you are assaulted you must flee rather than try to use deadly force. In fact, if you pull a deadly force weapon rather than flee, YOU will be arrested. Can you imagine, you are attacked by several thugs, you need to flee? Like they won't chase you and probably run you down? This new law will encourage more crime by changing the bad guy into the good guy. No wonder the Mpls police force is only at around 60%. Who would want to be a cop when the perp has as many rights as the officer when they commit a crime?
If this law passes, MN will be the only state doing this. Not a surprise considering the majority of legislators are democrats. Talk about Chicago, there are nearly as many shootings in the Twin Cities every day as Chicago. Again, no surprise considering the democrats control both cities. This is true for most large cities that are dominated by democrats who think the answer is to take away firearms from law abiding citizens. Concealed carry class instructors will have to amend how they teach their classes. Concealed carry will be pretty much worthless in MN. Just the way our idiotic governor likes it.
Someone once said: "The MN state bird is the loon. They should make the wood tick the state insect. Then it could appropriately be referred to as, The Lunatic State!"

Elections have consequences In MN the elections are decided by the Twin Cities and Duluth, the most heavily populated areas. The rest of the state is almost always red.

I say that about Pa. also, Philly and Pittsburgh rule the state but I'm starting to wonder if the always red counties are "red enough", meaning are the normal people voting in the same percentages as the city rats?
There comes a point liberalism has gone too far, we're past that point.

I will take my chances being judged by 12 over being carried by six.
I have nothing clever to put here.

If you look at county election maps by state, you will see in almost every state that the urban population centers are blue while the rest of the state is red. This is why we need a state electoral college system, to give the country folk a say against the city-dwellers in their individual states. It will never happen though.
Eh...wot?

There are only two states that split their electoral votes. I think one is NE, not sure of the other one.

Sad, but Wisconsin elections are ruled by the college towns all liberal. Madison and Milwaukee are the big ones. True, but WI still gets a lot closer to red than MN does.

I don't know anything about that particular law. But, I do know something similar is and always has been on the books. Currently in order to justify deadly force: - you, or others must be in danger of great bodily harm
- no lesser force will do
- you cannot retreat.
- you did nothing to provoke the attack

Someone once said: "The MN state bird is the loon. They should make the wood tick the state insect. Then it could appropriately be referred to as, The Lunatic State!" I weep for my country. Saw a meme once: "Your Grandpa didn't sleep in a wet, freezing foxhole clutching a pic of your Grandma in one hand, and a rifle in the other, so you could give up your rights to keep and bear arms."
