I'd try to find a way to shrink the size, reach and dependence on federal government. Maybe try to influence society back towards a more moral path.....

If that can't be done probably settle for just lining my pockets with as much $ as I could to protect myself against the coming fall much as I could. Lol

Stop illegal immigration and drug smuggling would be a great start.

Do something special to benefit veterans and their families. If we are going to forgive student debt, we should forgive the debt of our veteran’s children first.

Enforce border laws.

Mandate some form of ensuring manufacturing jobs AND American technology stayed in the U.S.

Prosecute crimes utilizing guns to the fullest extent of the law.

Sex crimes against children get 2 maximum appeals and then it’s public execution.

Build more jails. Institute and enforce the death penalty for egregious crimes.

Invest in real education in schools. Real life classes to prepare our kids for finances, how to save, work ethic, understanding the law, their rights and the repercussions if they screw up.

Anyone on any kind of tax payer aid has mandatory drug screening and physicals. Term limits if applicable that they have to work if possible.

Mandatory sentences if you’re a Public official and you’re circumventing the law.

Give as much power back to the states as possible, I think over time groups/ populations would gravitate towards states who had laws that best protect their interests. I would also spend more time with regular folks from everywhere to maintain the pulse of American concerns. But I think the biggest things would be to actually be open and honest instead of shirking responsibility. People make mistakes, own it, learn from it and try not to repeat it.

Gunnleg I like ur last one. Public officials should be held to a higher standard. They all say they should until they get caught. They all say the buck stops here until the bucks headed their direction too.

First off choose a cabinet of the smartest people in the room on the various issues facing the country that I could trust and talk to. I would close the borders to ILLEGAL immigration. Get started figuring out how to purge the country of the ones here illegally. Get the energy sector back to work. All but eliminate the and seriously restrict the alphabet agencies. Get my vice president and cabinet at work keeping them out there so the people knew them and what they stand for to shore up support for future administrations. Go on a tour to settle the world down outside the U S. Get a handle on foreign trade. Put education back in the states. Work with both houses to shore up the constitution so the left wouldn't be able to pack the court or add states or any of the other sneaky things they do. Pass legislation that a bill in congress only funded the purpose of that legislation and eliminate the pork that gets tacked on. That's a few.

I would submit that any bill introduced would have ONE subject. NO EXCEPTIONS! If you want something passed, present it in a way that is right for the people. We are seeing the increase even while we are putting more people on welfare. Welfare hasn't help any group of people through history as a whole. Sure once in awhile there's the individual with enough motivation to use it's benefits to improve their lives but there's 500 of the others for everyone one of those. Show me the numbers where more welfare has lowered crime and drug abuse

Drastically shrink the federal government and state governments.

Eliminate welfare in all forms--including disability welfare. Immediately.

Slash taxes. Everyone pays the same percentage.

Eliminate gun laws.

No more government control over people's lives and bodies (drug laws are a good example).

Actual free markets.

Encourage education. We need a nudge there.

If you can't hang with this free society, one way plane ticket out of here. Not mandatory but readily available.
