Coming soon it will be 2 hand touch or if they're up to it flag football but that maybe too dangerous. Getting paid millions to whine about how rough they have it. Glad I don't watch

Actually should lead to way more return attempts. All I have watched is kicks through the end zone for touchbacks in the last few years. Soccer-style kickers changed the special teams game.

So far there haven't been any returns farther then the receiving teams 35 yard line.
The return team and the defensive team cant move until the ball Is touched. And I think both teams are set at 5 yards apart when the ball Is kicked.

It probably won't change the game a whole lot and yes may well cut down on injuries. Probably several injuries from subs we never hear much or anything about. As the game moves more to passing this change could change the make up of backup players with more being ends and defensive backs than back up linebackers. If I were a player and owner it makes sense to reduce the plays that cause injuries and don't impact the game that much.

Something about listening to grown people whine and complain about how bad they have it while getting paid millions just rubbed me the wrong way.

Don't even have satellite TV any more and can't say I miss it

The other change is bigger faster stronger athletes in general. The speed at which athletes at this size can move makes the impact incredible. Lots of rules have changed for safety. Clothes line, horse collar, addition of face masks, etc. And you have to keep your stars on the field for fans to keep anteing up.
On a side note: It is all about the money, college and high school are not far behind. NIL money is already entering there.
