Looks great! I

I didn’t plant a garden this year. Been spending all my free time in Canada working on our building so I knew the garden would be neglected big time. Hopefully the kids have a bumper crop, I’d hate to have to buy #20 at farmers market, just wouldn’t feel right. lol

So far this year, we've only canned strawberries, peaches, banana peppers and green beans. I have 110 pounds of tomatoes, plus a peck to can this weekend along with elderberries. My catawba grapes are getting close, probably late next week. We will probably pick concord grapes on a friends farm the week after next. There will be late peaches, onions, potatoes, two types of pears, apples and more banana peppers to can later on.

I have an 85 gallon, commercial cider press and hope to run a few thousand pounds of apples and pears through it.

Made up a dozen pints of salsa last week. Wife's tomatoes aren't doing so good this year. Think actually to wet earlier

I typically harvest, or buy and prep. Diane does the actual canning. We also can with another couple we are good friends with. That's how we did the green beans and I forgot to mention sweet corn. We canned a lot of sour cherries back in late June and early July too.

For the pears and apple pressing I think we will have 8 other relatives and friends here.

I’m hoping my garden isn’t to windy on the 18th. Wife and I have an albacore tuna trip booked, hoping it’s as good as last time. We brought back a couple hundred pounds of fillets to can. If you have never tried home canned tuna you are missing out! Nothing like Bumble bee at all.

Did a batch of tomatoes (20 qts) this past weekend. Already canned 40 pints of jam: blackberry, peach, mulberry. I should be around 300 quarts (tomatoes, green beans, pickles, jam, etc) this time of year, but we are behind because of the May hailstorm. Green beans only produced about 1/4 of what we expected so I'm waiting on my 2nd batch to start producing now. Been thinking about this weekend, breaking out the pressure canner and doing a freezer clean out. Probably can some meals-in-a-jar and make room in the freezer for this hunting season. Will be digging Potatoes on the 18th and should be canning them shortly thereafter.

I’ve had to work down in West Virginia since early spring so sadly our garden couldn’t be planted this year. However we are fortunate to have many Amish stands in our area so we haven’t missed a beat. Pickles and beans are done except for maybe a few more dills. Peppers are in the kitchen waiting to be prepped. Going on a search for tomato within the hour. Need to get a few heads of cabbage for our coleslaw. We can it up and add the mayonnaise when ready to use. My question id like to float out there is what’s your favorite tomato to can for sauce?I've grown the standard Roma and as of late tried San marzanio but really like Amish paste. So what does everybody else grow?

Tomatoes aren't ripe here yet but I'll be canning them when they are. Also will be putting up some apples, peppers, venison and fish.

Canned 12 quarts of juice. Have given away enough to can another 30 quarts to family. We carried over 50+ quarts and this year has so far produced a fairly large amount. I planted Better Boys. 48 of them.

I started processing elderberries today from my Remembrance elderberry bush. We had really hard rain which unfortunately beat the heads up pretty bad, knocking off a lot of the ripe berries. I have many heads to harvest still.

I do too and it looks like it'll be a good haul. They should be getting ripe in a couple weeks. They make great sauce
