My area along Eastern Lake Ontario at Henderson, N.Y.
is getting some moisture from tropical storm Deb presently.

It's been a deluge of a downpour for two solid hours here.

Has to have dropped three to four inches in that stretch of time.

Anybody else in Northern New York seeing any raindrops ? laugh

The National Guard has been deployed to Potter and Tioga counties in north central PA. Some real bad flooding going on there.

The Tioga and Cowanesque Rivers are going to puff up a bit from this.

Probably going to fill up the Army Corp of Engineers Flood Control Impoundments
at Cowanesque Lake, Tioga Lake, and Hammond Lake.

Better tell that Lunatic PCR3 to put on his life jacket & don his hip boots !!! laugh

PCR said he's glad he's went out and moved his fishing kayak away from the river to higher ground this morning.

I put a thread on Don Powell's forum telling the PA guys it was coming their way.

I live in north central NC and had 8.7" at my place as Debby moved through.

PCR posted about moving his boat and the Guard being called out in those two counties. Said there was a lot of water rescue taking place there.

Hope everyone makes it OK.

Not a single drop here, moved inland just enough to miss us, Right now at 4:18 its sunny, broiling hot and humid, and windy...we could have used some rain...

I guess it isn't over yet but we did not even get close to the amount of rain they thought we would get.

I got myself a seniors' GPS.
Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination,
it tells me why I wanted to go there.

They projected Georgia to get rain as far up as north side of Atlanta and the entire western half of the state. I was supposed to get up to four inches.

We got one squall south of me. Pretty much everything was south of Macon and only the southeastern part of the state. The coast around Savannah got dumped on all of this past week.

Strange how these things shift just a little off the projected track and you get nothing.

It took a more westerly track than was expected then sat for a while over north-central PA and dumped a lot of rain.

I guess every valley in a mountainous area is a "flood plain" and can be a raging torrent.
