So I get ffg, but noticed Backwoods survival guide magazine at wally world kind of skimmed through it, I think I'm going to order it. What do you guys get?? And does anyone have the backwoods guide?

Mother Earth News and Woods-N-Water New good ones even though not trapping

The only ones I get are just for the pictures. I don't even know if there are articles in them.

All states associations should have mags like the great ones in Ohio, Wisconsin, Texas, MO, ID, Washington - Keeps members informed and helps get more new trappers involed.

If i missed a state with a good magazine let me know.

FFG. I do miss the 80's and 90's Outdoor Life.

I get about every trapping mag available, but my favorite is the The Fur Taker put out by the FTA.
In my opinion it is a very underrated magazine with great articles by the likes of Jepson, Kelley, Sells, Beaudette, Marchewka and others.
Short, well written stories by every day average Joe's. I sure miss the Old Woodsman, Ronnie Cauble. Anyone know how he's doing?

I used to have probably 8-10 subscriptions; The Journal of Light Construction, Fine Home Building, four woodworking magazines, a couple of hunting magazines, several trapping publications.

I let them all lapse except FFG, Wood Magazine and NRA's American Hunter. The only reason I still get that one is that it comes with the lifetime membership.

I get 13 magazines. Fur Fish Game, Pennsylvania Game News, Fur Taker, Trappers World, Idaho Trapper, Buckeye Trapper, Trappers Post, Alaska Trapper, Trapper, Montana Trapper, Traps, American Trapper and Minnesota Trapper.

Oh yeah, I forgot I also get PA Game News. So four subscriptions.

We get FFG, Trappers World, Trapper's Post, American Trapper, Furtaker, Gamekeepers, Backwoods Home, Self-Reliance, and Taste of Home at the moment.

Backwoods Home and Self-Reliance are both very good homesteading mags. No liberal bs in them, either, like Mother Earth News or Countryside have.
