I buy Walmart brand thick slice... I usually eat BET... Bacon, Eggs & Tomatoes. Can't seem to find good leaf lettuce in the store around here.
  As a matter of fact, I was just thinking about that for supper...

We make our own. I get a big slab of side meat at the butcher shop....my son brines it and smokes it. I got where I don't like any other bacon.
  Also, if folks have never had fresh, uncurled pork belly, you're missing out. Years ago, we'd go to Quebec every summer. We would take a whole side of pork belly meat. Every fried meal...eggs, fish, potatoes etc, started with a couple pieces of side meat to get the skillet lubed. I have to say, I'm not a big fan of fresh pork belly.  I, much prefer smoked, cured bacon.

In the summer I grow my own tomatoes. I grow mostly heritage Giant Yellow... Almost as sweet as a peach. I had a couple last year that were right at 2 pounds.
