That would be easier than finding that little buzzer to put a shot of crazy glue in it.

Most new vehicles don't have a buzzer, the sound is through the speakers.

Can't they just leave the seat belt buckled behind them like a normal person? smile

I have nothing clever to put here.

I know a 14 year old kid that is paralyzed from the waist down because he was not buckled in a car crash and got thrown from the vehicle. Everyone else in the vehicle, including his grandparents, were buckled and are fine. For whatever reason, his crappy grandparents couldn't be bothered to make him buckle, even though they thought to buckle themselves. He used to come to the pool and skating rink all the time. Now every time I see him, he just looks sad.

For those that are interested in joining the wheelchair-for-life brigade, just look in your owners manual. Most vehicles have a procedure to shut off the alarm.

a friend with limited hand use after an accident , used like 8 inch seat belt rigid extenders it raised the seat belt connection up to about even with the top of the console

it also stops the buzz/beeper

like this
http://www.acedepot.com/8-rigid-sea...-wide-metal-tongue-buckles-right-in.html

I drove his SUV the other day and it is handy no digging to get the belt done or un done I had to remember to use it , muscle memory had me going for the regular buckle

Sure are a lot of ambulance chasing lawyers advertising on the innertube for clients injured by seatbelts. Bet on drawing to an inside straight your probably going to lose. Not always though. Seatbelts are a roll of the dice.

I've got two. Works great when my old lab finds some extra dead stuff in the woods to eat. She's right on the cusp of making the blasted dinger go off incessantly when you're traveling.

Some of you gorilla built guys rolling around inside a vehicle would do a lot of damage to yourself and the rest of your family in a rollover. By myself seatbelts are optional until I get on the highway with others in the vehicle I put them on for that reason.

We already beat the wear it don't wear seatbelt thing to death. Personally. I care less what others do..Just don't expect me to leave my lane when your flopping on road in front of me. Will brake if I can otherwise your get run over just like critters that jump out in road.

As for the original post.
I got one of them little chunks of metal in my truck. Use it when Im going from trap to trap checking on the edges of big fields. There are places thought on my line where I have to wear my seatbelt. Steep enough I can keep my butt in the seat. Actually have to be careful not to go over sideways in few places.

I cut an old one out of a scrap Tahoe to use on my Tacoma. I use it for the passenger seat. It gets annoying when you have something sitting in the seat and it starts to beep at you. No need for one for the drivers seat, I already wired that together so it thinks the seatbelt is always on. I'm not wearing my seatbelt checking traps on 2 tracks or listening that noise.

if I am running around the farm or trap to trap , just buckle the seat belt across the seat then it is out of the way and then get in and quits the dinging
