Yup couple guys who used to buy from The Boy said the same thing. Had to back out of the order.

The last time we went into Canada, we were told we could not bring in any kind of biological bait at all.

Funny night crawlers at the local store are labeled Canadian night crawlers. Guess those should not be sold here any more. You guys wouldn’t have Nightcrawlers to fish with then.

Easy remedy. Dont go to Canada. Seems to be a few fish in the US. Right. Lived in Montana my whole life and never been across that northern border. They got nothing we don’t have except for communist gun laws.

You guys wouldn’t have Nightcrawlers to fish with then. a lot of the night crawlers here are farm raised in buildings in totes , they run them over a shaker screen to separate the castings sold to plant stores , the eggs re-bedded for the next crop and the worms for sale as bait.
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Saw something similar on the show Yellowstone Wardens where some guys from outstate brought some leeches into Montana. They had to dump them because they didn't any sort of certification from the state they bought them in. It was several pounds of leeches.
We are living in a world where the intelligent must be quiet so that the no common sense people won't be offended.

The last time we went into Canada, we were told we could not bring in any kind of biological bait at all. Same here. We always caught plenty of fish on plastics.
I have nothing clever to put here.

I’ve been going to Canada every summer at least once since 1979. Have a place there now and go several times a year. This type of thing has always gone on during my time. Even had them record the serial number on a tape dec we just had wired and sitting on the dash. Coming home the US guy told us he needed to check numbers on it to prove we didn’t sell it. Same thing with boats and snow machines etc.
Always something, bacon, chicken, beef, dogs, potatoes just to name a few. Then they fade away and move on to the next deadly threat. Works both ways though. I have a lot of Friends from CA that come down to visit at least once a year and they have the same stories.
I try to just pass the attitude test when I get a knob going in. Haven’t had one in a few years though. Thing is, the bad ones don’t care if you’re coming to spend money or not, they get paid either way. So best for me to just play along.
Coming back home, not so much, I’d just as soon have them turn me around. Hard for me to answer a pile of questions as a citizen, when at the same time hundreds are walking across the southern boarder unchecked.

After a good rain here I could fill a coffee can with nice fat crawlers not like they are exclusive to one place in N America. LOL
