Tie a heavy log chain to the stump and your bumper and take a good run at it.

I would drill using the extensions with my plumbing/ electrical bits, as far as I could go.

Then I would soak the interior of the stump with diesel, over the time period of 2 days or more,,,If you dont have a excavator.
If you need it out..... burn the roots if ya can not dig with a machine.....

The stump is about 10 feet from my pole barn so I can't blow it up. This stump in really stuck in the ground,I cut most of the roots I could get to not even a bar could lift it a little.

I'm guessing the roots you cut are the ones you can git to and there are some straight down that are alive, well, and (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) for stout.

A track hoe would be best. Yankees call em excavators. You'd have a home for that $2500 you can sell your brush hog for bud.

I dig them out with my small L35 Kubota 35hp backhoe. It's my least favorite job with that machine. I dig a circle around them You'd be surprised how far out and how deep I have to go to rip through enough roots to get even medium sized stumps to pull out.

Eh...wot?

Take a 55 gal drum, use a pick & knock some ventilation holes in it and place over stump.

Dump a couple bags of charcoal in drum on top of stump.

Cut a hole in the lid for a dryer vent hose, attach a electric leaf blower on one end, and stick the other end down the hole in the drum about 6 inches.

Light the charcoal, turn on the leaf blower and you will burn that stump on down below ground level, and most of the roots as well.

Those lever devises like Drifter showed works. My Great Grandpa cleared 160 acres like that plus with the help of 4 girls and their baby brother.

You probably don't have access to one of those levers, so if I was doing it I would saw those roots off so there is a gap between the root and the root end on the stump on the side you are pulling on. Otherwise when you start pulling the stump over the way you have it now you are pulling it into the root, so you need a space there. Also you need to dig deeper and in underneath the stump and cut any roots you find. Fill the hole up with water and let set over night. You could tie on to one of those root stubs on the side of the stump so you are pulling side ways on the stump, thus a twisting action. Maybe break off one root at a time and make digging easier.

Rent or hire a small backhoe or excavator and be done with it :-)
