Are you satisfied with how yours is doing for your state? Wi needs much improvement. I am not satisfied with the way they run things.

Not really - at least our prospective regs are not voted on by general population

It can't be fixed, if you can't pinpoint something wrong.

This DNR issue has been going on for 50+ years something it’s been downright nasty I remember the unflattering billboards we drove by years ago heading to the UP.

That sums it up here pretty good .

40 year decline in mule deer here , it falls on their shoulders. ....period

Decisions are revenue generated at the end of the day

I could go on and on........

specific things

stop trying to reduce the number of print pages in the regs that seems to keep causing errors in the regs

we need a wolf season

align raccoon hunting season with coyote hunting season

Any county issuing more than 2 doe tags with a gun deer license have a 9 day muzzle loader season starting the last Saturday in October at dawn clearly the bow hunters are not getting it done.

allow counties to have a referendum vote on any new farms in excess of 1500 head yes or no on licensing

that is all I really have

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Huge decline in wildlife here in SD in the last 20 years it was booming when I moved here 45+ years ago and even better years before that. Deer and pheasants struggling in many areas of the State, just a fact.

We have a photo ID requirement for the first time this year. It passed a state referendum several years ago. I hope it will curtail illegal voting.

I think college students should be required to vote at their home address rather than where they attend college, otherwise they might be able to vote twice.

Deer turkey ducks largmouth bass is all our's worries about, furbearer's are basically pest no different than gopher rats so it's open season on them, kill bobcats year round and toss them in a ditch.

Nothing is 'managed' here.

Are you willing to roll up your sleeves and work with DNR personnel to suggest and achieve improvements in areas you feel are not managed to your current satisfaction; for which the DNR has direct control over?

Back in the 50's, 60's, and 70's state DNR fish & game departments
were dominated by World War II & Korean War veterans who took
advantage of the G.I. Bill by attending college and received veterans
preference in most civil service jobs especially state Outdoor related work.

These returning veterans who took the fish & game jobs
were hunters, trappers, fishermen and farmers who grew up
during the great depression and were consumptive users of wildlife.

Most of these guys have long since retired
and/or gone to their happy hunting grounds.

By the late 1960's & 1970's, the draft dodging, pot smoking hippies
hiding out in U.S. colleges started their getting masters & doctorate degrees
and hung around to be become college professors teaching our college
students from the late 1970's, 80's, 90's & beyond, and most were and are,
dyed in the wool, anti-consumptive use, bambi kissers, bunny huggers,
or granola crunching, Yule Gibbons type environmentalist wack jobs.

These are the college instructors who have indoctrinated all the
college graduates in wildlife management who are infiltrating
our state & federal government DNR departments today !!

I tell ya, I never see any state residents, and I mean ANY, complaining about their state's DNR as much as I see it from my home state of Wisconsin. Lots of complaints about unqualified folks in positions of power and even biologists, and politics. But Wisconsin citizens have the opportunity to effect change in wildlife regulations every year. And I don't hear of anyone complaining that they applied for biologist jobs and didn't get them so...
