Too late now, but doesn’t your military use mostly metric? Country is all carved out in miles grids. I know for long distance shooting it’s way easier with a milrad scope. If you happen to find the 10mm socket, sell it on eBay, they’re worth a lot!

huge NO for me. I can use either system and have to when I travel internationally but I prefer the Imperial system.

I guess I'm odd-man out. In my opinion, metric is much simpler and useful.
Jack Should have changed in 1980. Well, at least us scientists changed. Now I have to go catch a trophy, 52cm trout. P,S. Those trout are only a few klicks away.

Inches, 10's, meters same set of drawings! I am glad I am beyond all of that.

I use a 7/16 instead of a 13 mm because I love freedom! Pee on man buns, mom jeans, and the metric system. dude how is that working for you beat it on with a hammer is the tool truck wondering how you keep breaking all the 7/16 wrenches 13mm is a touch larger than a 1/2 like a loose half 7/16 is 11 mm

I say no
and I have no issue with us using both
my biggest argument against going Metric would be the many Billions of wasted dollars in new signage in every municipality
IF they were going to work towards it , all speed and distance signs would need to start changing as they get replaced , that will likely take 30-40 years

The only way to do it is to jam it down American's throat's!
You will only get pushback if you try to do it gradually, like is happening now.
I worked at several places where all the blueprints were Metric, and all the measuring tools were English. (SAE) The Co's refused to buy metric tools, so we had to go over the BP's and convert all dimensions, and may whatever Gods there be protect you from an error.

American car companies switched over decades ago. Why ? Easier to sell your cars in a global market.
One of the more difficult problems to overcome is how things are made and converting the machines to make a metric product. Some people may remember a 64oz (1/2 gal ) bottle of soda. Now 2L (67.6oz) is common.
How hard would it be to make a 4 liter jug of milk than using the 3.78L gallon size ?
Standardized sizes make sense in a global market. The change over is costly but it is time to join the rest of the world.
