yotetrapper30 OP trapper Joined: May 2011 Oakland, MS	...........are TRASH. Drifter used one to connect pex to pvc on our driveway less than 3 years ago. Today we had a water leak. In three years, the metal of the fitting just freaking disintegrated! What are people using for PEX fittings that aren't Sharkbite?

This was a fitting used to connect Pex to PVC so no ring clamping involved. Or maybe I'm not understanding you. If this is the type of fitting you need l, gonna require a clamp. -Goofy

wetdog trapper Joined: Oct 2017 perry co.Pa	I would say it was the soil that made it fail I wrap them in electrical tape and then surround them with spray foam, but only on the taped area for underground I've buried them, hid them in walls and never a problem if they are installed correctly I've even done hot water heat line repairs with them Not a problem yet and some are over 12 year old repairs Last edited by wetdog; 09/02/24 10:43 PM.
