Just a WAG the top 2 could be chestnut or swamp chestnut look about the right size.
The bottom 2 could be sawtooth oak. But really need leaves and bark photos.

Save yourself some time and buy them as two or three year seedlings. Makes a big difference on a slow growing tree like oaks.

I've been buying them, 19.00 a pc. Hurts after awhile. I want to get a lot of them started for the grandkids. I want to spread them out over 100 acres. I don't plan on seeing any produce acorns in my lifetime.

To me they are both white oak family acorns. What are the white oak varieties near you?

Could be all overhead above. Amount of rain can determine how big they get. Late frost can to. If I was guessing. Top2 white oak. Bottom pin oak. What we all pin oak around here. But In dry times normal white look like smaller pin oak.

Could I ask you where you’re getting them from? Even with a tree tube, stake and bare root tree, I’m not sure you should be into each tree for anywhere near $19.

Tons of online nurseries where you can get any hard mast tree for $2-$5 each, including 2-3 year rootstock. The only trees I’ve seen that expensive are fruit and AU Buck Chestnut.

PM me if you’d like any nursery suggestions.

Wisconsin DNR seedling sales start on October 7th for spring planting- they have an adequate supply of 2yr old Burr Oaks, last year I paid $.60/per tree.
