Sorry kid, but I gotta agree with yes sir, ADC and all the others. Duke 1.5 coil springs are probably the best coon coil spring on the market. If you want to spend more money on an inferior trap, then knock yourself out I guess.

Maybe I got a bad batch, the ones I tried the swivels Bent up and a coon bent the whole pan of the trap so much I had to pull it and re bend it

Because they're simply well built. You don't need to replace chains or swivels or anything on the 1.5 coil for coon trapping. The only thing I do to them is file the dog the way I like it, which is optional. If you want you can set them straight out of the box, grease and all, and catch all the coon your little heart desires.

I appreciate everyone’s help and all the input and since I’m goin to the trapping convention tomorrow i will buy a dozen or two traps, for sure no bs dbjs and I might buy a dozen duke dbjs and compare them. Thanks again for all the help everyone

What do you mean?


I think he's talking about the people that come on here bashing duke traps (usually because their foreign made) and therefore discouraging young trappers like you from using a very fine trap.

Now, I'm not saying every duke trap is perfect. I wouldn't own their 11s. But many of the Duke traps are very well made.
