I expect Rally Hess to come out of the Beaver swamps long enough to spend the day with us. He mentioned he would have some rigged fiberglass drowning rods available. Probably have a bit of cable along !

Mike Kelly is on the demo schedule. He is a driven trapper that has put up some impressive numbers with his partner Kyle. Mike markets the entire Beaver making the most of his catch. An absolute terror when targeting Otter.

Mike Halonen is also on the schedule. Mike and his wife Christy are probably the hardest trapping couple in MN. Mike will start on Spring Beaver near Iowa and chase them to almost Canada. Mike runs a true long line while maintaining full time employment. He couldn’t do it without his partner Christy’s help both in tending traps and spending countless hours pouring over maps and satellite images.

We will provide lunch. Planning on smoked pulled pork sandwiches, coleslaw, and calico beans.

Still have a couple demo spots to fill. Trying to get someone to cover minnow/leech trapping !

We will also have something along the ADC lines on the demo list.

I believe we filled the minnow/leech trapping spot yesterday. Should make for an interesting presentation !

It would have been nice to have someone to cover crawfish trapping as well.

I suspect Crayfish will get covered as well, Les !

I wonder if Grubstake would be willing to cover Bullheads ? He was really successful in that Iowa competition he entered !

We were fortunate to get a successful ADC trapper step up and volunteer. I might be stretching the Volunteer part but he reluctantly agreed. He has built an extremely successful business while raising his young family. Quite frankly he has accomplished about everything he set his mind to. Including making some impressive fur catches and 3 gun competitions.

Say it ain't so.

I heard he excelled at bullheads, he probably should pass some of that on…

Michael O’Brien from Lakes Area Wildlife Control has stepped up to provide a building exclusion demonstration. Excluding bats , flying squirrels , and mice on location. Mike runs an extremely successful Wildlife Control business and is willing to share the bread & butter of his ADC business !

Awesome, and in other thoughts… only Iowa would have a bullhead championship…
