After making a set, get your eyes down near the waterline or ground as a mink will be seeing it.
Does set still look natural & inviting if you were a mink?
Adjust looks of set as needed

TILL THAT DAY.....

Good tip....I'll add another one.
IF you are trapping along a body of water that has thick covering of grasses along the shoreline....walk over and flip up an armful of those grasses and see if the mink are tunneling underneath the grasses along the bank....killer spots to gang set. Be sure to search both sides of the banks on creeks, streams you might be surprised. There is no reason to use baits/lures at these spots just bed a foothold in the trails and anchor in the water.
Good luck!

I don't do much mink trapping but those both seem like good ones.
