Here I am again wasting a perfectly good afternoon at the dentist for my cleaning and checkup. There is very little I hate more.
I’ll need a shot of wild Turkey after my rough hygienist is done scraping me.

just think of all those tooth extractions on little dogs

it beats having your lips caved in and your tongue hanging out

oh and brush harder and more often.
replace your tooth brush every 2 months they wear out quite fast then do a half job

that can make every 6 months visit less painful.

Dentist chairs are super comfy. Good for naps.

Great timing to make you feel better, I have a root canal on Monday, used to use the Gas, but now I pay for the sedation, cause I'm to much of a wuss with my teeth.

And don't pull the tooth brush and cleaning on me, I do it regularly, it's just a failure on my ability to man up when it comes to my teeth. I just don't have great teeth from my mothers side of the family !!

I got a treat, my normal hygienist’s schedule has changed so I got a different lady today. I was out in 25 minutes and I’m not sore at all! And she managed to make small talk without stopping what she was doing. WIN

What I hate is when the cleaner leans on your lower jaw. Jaw is sore for several days after!

Waste a whole afternoon? Our dentist is 18 miles away and I am home and back again in less then 2 hours. I go 3 times per year and check ups are very good. When I hear what some are paying for with their teeth and gum issues I don't mind giving up a few hundred dollars and a few hours. We had no dental care as children and for the last 40 years we have got those issues taken care of.

Only time I've been to the dentist in the last 30 years was to get dental clearances for my two replacements surgery.... No cavities, no tartar, no other problems, The dentist couldn't believe it...My mom had to go every 6 months for tartar and cleaning...

Only issue is teeth could use a cleaning for the coffee stains...maybe I'll go someday...lol

you want to get her name written down and request her next time

there is a reason I drive 90 minutes to the dentist , I found a good one years ago and never left.
getting a little worried he is going to retire on me he keeps cutting hours , but as long as he has hours I will book my appointment there.

been a patient there 36-38 years I can't quite remember , good thing he was right out of Dentistry school when my dad found him. but till he could decide to retire any time.

thanks for the reminder I canceled my appointment when on of the boys needed stitched up. I never rescheduled instead opting to work. need to reschedule in Oct or first 3 weeks of November. I won't be working a sing day off and have a lot of vacation days scheduled.

it's not My favorite thing to do either. I'm beting getting checked for colon cancer will be worse. will be 45 next year and I think that's when that starts. at least it's 5 years in-between.

When dad was a kid the patient would get a shot of whiskey to help with the pain of pulling a tooth, but his dentist took the shot instead then pulled the tooth. My hygienist is kinda rough but good and if she quits I’m screwed because I really like her, as far as pain it doesn’t bother me I don’t use Novocain mainly because it doesn’t work on me so I just live through the pain.
