Are Hancock beaver traps still available anywhere? Used ones perhaps?
Why do I carry 10mm? Because shooting twice is just silly.

I i thought Comstock beaver traps were costly at $350
$549.00 plus shipping, they don’t give them away do they. I do prefer the Hancock over the koro

Just found out tonight that a buddy lost one, possibly two of my Hancock’s. I’ll let him know about Wes so they can get replaced. I was wanting to add to my line, now I gotta replace it! 🤨

I'm just trying to find some in good used condition so I don't have to hit him with the cost of brand new ones. He's a good friend, and I'd like to make it as easy on him as I can.

If you don't mind the question, why are you using Hancocks? Colorado is cage trap only state.

When you said "now I gotta replace it!" To me it sound like you were replacing it. Yeah, it’s a long story. He “claims” he’s going to replace them, but I’m not holding my breath. He claims they washed away in a flood, but has yet to send me pictures to prove this. I’m trying to give him the benefit of the doubt, but I did tell him I need this resolved by the end of October. I really don’t want this to go to small claims court. Nobody wants that.

They are annoying to haul around, they are annoying to set, they look ridiculous, but they flat out work. Agreed! Here in Colorado, we can use footholds, but have to pull a permit on private land only. On public, it has to be cages no matter what. And the Hancock’s are the best of the best. They just work. I’m hoping to find two at a cheaper than new price so I can tell him about the deal, and he can buy those as replacements for me instead of brand new ones. But beaver season is coming, and he knows they are my favorite to trap. So it’s either work with me a little bit and get this resolved, or pay full price in small claims court. I’d much rather salvage the friendship.

Wouldn't be surprised if they aren't buried in the dam. Have seen em use dead beaver to repair a dam.

Les Weaver has the company now. If you can’t get ahold of him let me know. I’ve got his s cell number he lives a couple miles from me also. Thanks!! Could ya PM his number please? I’ve called the number on the website, and sent a message through his contact page. No response yet. Really need to get some lined up as season is almost here for me. I have one person that contacted me about selling me a used trap. Would sure like two or three more. I’d probably take four total, if I can find them. The guy that lost mine said he will cover two of them, and I’ll cover the remaining ones. Even if I have to get new ones from Les, it’s worth it to me. Thanks for any help, or leads!!
