Went to go check my gas tank and think I found the *most fun* wasp hiding spot to date. Pretty big nest attached to he top of the lid. Ended sup about break dancing a way when they came flying out laugh well I'm off to town to get some spray for em, but what the *most fun or creative* hiding spot y'all have seen these things take up ?

Under the bow cover on grandma's boat I used to play in. I wasn't big enough to get in or out so she had to come get me. Must have been 4 or 5 still remember it clearly almost 40 years later.

Life sure is tough when you don't learn from the mistakes of others.

I thought it was a given that every propane tank lid hides a wasp nest.

Camo blinds we had a net with 75. Killed 74 with one container of gas in a metal coffee can. One got away and came back landing on blind and one of the crew killed number 75 with his cap

They love the propane tank lids, wolfie.

Also inside my bird house nest boxes.

One was even inside the metal arm of my sat dish ....I should have been seeing hornet wings and eyes on my tv ..... grin

Must be for jelly. Grand dad had a tree out back of the barn just for jelly. As he would say, you can always add more sugar.

Just had me a little battle with them baldies a week ago. First time i have ever seen them make a paper nest on the ground next to a large tree. Couldn't figure out where the 'big rock' had come from. Lucky for me, I climbed in the tractor (with a cab:) and proceeded to wage war. They were making quite a racket bouncing off the glass.... grin

Had one in the barbecue grill this spring under the back. Had one under the swing. Had one in the cup holder of my chair on the patio. Slid it out to put my drink in it and presto, instant madness. Glad I was wearing a hat.

I've found them inside a pop-up camper as I was popping it up. Also have some small ones up inside the cavities in my garbage and recycling cans. They don't care too much for the 100 yard haul down the gravel driveway.

You’d better be right with the Lord if you mess with them Bald Face Hornets!
They will make you want to meet him before your time.
