I guess next week I can start and hope it doesn't take long to cleanup on some crick crossings. They flood the roads and not a good thing once freeze up starts. Crossing are all ice and dangerous.

I going to use some floats since it is so dry the beavah got their dams and I will leave them so they hold water back for cattle. Getting a few ready for next week. Anyone else staring yet??

Holy smokes! That thing looks like the wall on Game of thrones!...LOL
I'll be starting mid October but not hitting beaver hard this year. I'm currently putting up my 40ish beaver from this spring to make room in the freezer.

Snowy , season doesn't start for quite some time here. I always put out a couple floats.

Here’s one, gotta add a piece of styrofoam on the one side. I think the pic above is the very first beaver I ever caught.

They may have the same value as a hatter, but they are not decent furred, ever. I have sold June and July beaver from here. I have mixed them in with December and January beaver and only ever had one grade "hatter" at NAFA. So they may have a value, but decent fur, no.

Garment quality southern beavs = no.

Hatter quality beaver = yep.

I couldn't convince Boco either that these beavers down here have similar underfur year-round.

The reason they are all hatters is because they don't have decent fur. You don't have to convince me. I know that they are hatters and what they look like.
