I find it interesting those that poke fun of religion and think they don't need it as that just shows me they have created their own religious righteousness and have elevated themself worthy of something.

Can this be tax exempt too?

No one needs religion but everyone needs Jesus.

I had a similar attitude for a long time, but resumed going to mass this year and life is better.

We're not dancing around with snakes, drinking poison, playing electric guitars or getting drunk on the prosperity gospel nonsense, but returning to the Church has been very good for me.

Paid a guy $25; to take me rattle snake hunting.

He had a big freezer container converted to hold the live ones.

Told him I always thought they were defanged .
He said not when they leave here.
One of the craziest vacations I ever had.
Case of beer and a delivery van.
Cruised the tobacco fields.

I've mellowed out some last 20 yrs or so.

I attended a meeting like that with 76,000 in attendence. Quite a big event. Arkansas won so it was a good day.

So what? It is my choice to not involve myself In established religions that are based upon innumerable interpretations and purported misinterpretations
of the Bible. Why would one man's interpretation be more valid than another man's? That is hypocrisy in its truest sense.

Is it okay for me to be criticized for not following one or more of the religions, which are ALL based upon man's interpretation of a book that was written and interpreted and possibly misinterpreted through the centuries? I think not. Should my life be criticized as being led by "lust and anger, selfishness and greed" by Treedablackdog who I am assuming has been able to choose his own path of spirituality? I think not.

I have led and will continue to lead a very good life. I have helped may people in so many ways, and will continue t o do so. If the criticisms and assumptions about my spirituality are an indication of what organized religion is like, I want no part of it. You folks have accomplished nothing but pushing me further away from practicing organized religion.

There, got that off my chest and can go back and even further in to being a Borne Again Heathen.
